In May of 1964, TFE was opened for business, with the goal of providing high quality fluid power and power transmission products to our customers in need. We started with only a handful of employees, our local customers in northeast Indiana, and a short list of products from our first suppliers. Over the years, our reach extended to serving the Midwest and customers on a national basis – with our list of products and services continuing to grow to this day.

Now, TFE has three ISO 9001:2015 certified locations – two in Fort Wayne and one in Indianapolis. Our team has grown over 120 employees, with a third of our workforce with over ten years of experience, while our campuses hold over 60,000 square feet of warehouse, production, and office space – allowing us to produce over one million custom hoses assemblies for our customers each year. With a fleet of company-owned vehicles for local deliveries, our overall distribution reach has gone global.

Just a few of our services include in-house construction of practically any type of hose assembly, machining capabilities, push/pull control cables, hydraulic tube assemblies, conveyor belting, TIG/MIG welding & fabrication, and more. On-site and in-house training is also available in addition to on-site hydraulic plumbing. These services complement our full line of power transmission and fluid power products from manufacturers like ABB/Baldor, Continental, Dodge, Danfoss, Gates Rubber Company, Martin Sprocket & Gear, Nord, Regal Rexnord, and many more.

We are the largest independent Gates Rubber Company Distributor in Indiana with “HAF” and “Certified Hydraulic Assembly Fabricator” status. We are also the largest Danfoss Synflex Thermoplastic Hose Distributor in the country with “Certified Synflex Assembler” status.
